So Behind

One of these days I will post a real post. One of these days I will tell you about the sliver in my daughters foot that sent us to the Urgent Care after-hours place an hour away, because I couldn't get it out the old fashioned way. One of these days I'll catch up on reading and commenting on all of my favorite blogs, as well as making the correct changes to my blogroll. And one of these days I'll tell you about my father-in-law's retirement party which I'm just now getting back from, that I hauled all of my kids to all by myself with the youngest two snugly nestled into the stroller only to find out that the party was on the top floor and there was NO ELEVATOR. And one of these days I'll catch up on my soap opera Sunday about Chad that I started last week but didn't do anything on this week! And maybe, just MAYBE, one of these days I'll tell you how the move went--but first, I'll have to move. (Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!) And maybe at some point I will do something about all my children--who I can hear screaming their heads off. And maybe one day I'll even post some pictures.

But not today.

But I did want to pop in and post a great big THANK YOU to everyone for all of your emails and your notes and your well-wishes. I have the absolute greatest blog-buddies ever. Thanks for being so wonderful! How did I survive for so many years without you?

I'm glad you're back! I sometimes wonder what I did for so long before I met all my blog buddies too! I feel like my little world got a bit bigger once I started up.

Hooray for blog buddies!

I know, right? Blog Buddies are the only people I can turn to when I don't want to work.

It sounds like you've just been off having yourself a party, heh? Take your time, take care of your family and all that other obligatory stuff. And write as soon as you get a chance. ;)

I love that last question - because I ask it often. And the answer? I'm much, much happier than I was then. Simple as that.

Good luck with the move, and recovering from the recent chaos in your life. I'm seriously wincing over envisioning you having to deal with all the stairs!

Blog buddies are definitely the best. You can rant and rave and go wild and you'll always get a sympathetic note from one of them!

Rebecca said...

best of luck! just think - it'll all be over soon - and you'll have a nice new clean house with a clean oven! (the only time I ever have a clean oven is when I move)

And... and... lots and lots empty boxes for your kids to play in!

Good luck with the move! And I'm just going to piggyback on everyone else's comments and say that yes, blog buddies do make the world go round. :)

First of all, you need to point out to someone at Father-in-law's work that it's illegal to NOT have an elevator :D

Second, good luck moving and stuff!

LOVING YOU!

Good luck on the move!

Priorities, priorities. I can't believe (gasp!) we aren't at the top of your list. Not like you have anything better to do.

I had to laugh, by the way, at the thought of you realizing that those snuggly nested babies weren't making it into an elevator after all.

Everything sounds so exhausting! Good luck getting through the move.

Hope the move goes/went well! I'm still amazed at your ability to juggle so many things. If I wore a hat, I'd take it off to you!

I was so happy to see you pop up on my google reader this morning- Chin up and good luck! Think I'm next for the moving thing... gulp!

Good luck with your move! I've been falling behind, too, so we'll have to play catch up when you're back online.

And I hope Fluffy's foot is okay??

Moving is so stressful. Hope it's going well. I noticed that you were mentioned as an exceptional writer by Playgroups are no place for children. I'd have to agree!

Darling Brillig-
I am "holding fists" for you that the move goes well today.
See you back here soon as you're settled.
Take your time, baby. Take your time.

I'll be thinking of you today--good luck!

And the Hanging Chad story has to be first, because HELLO, I've been waiting all week for the rest of the story!

Not that it's all about me or anything. ;)

I wish I could email you a casserole and some strong arms.

Praying that the move goes well! I keep imagining the lugging of boys up the stairs. OOF! Read ya soon!

Brillig, I will be praying for you all day today too!

Welcome back. I'm groaning at the thought of stairs and a stroller.

NO elevator? You poor thing, I would have turned around and left. You are truly such a good Mom - what a crazy time, you have so much going on! I hope the move goes smoothly (can moves go smoothly?) and that you feel settled very soon. Hang in there!

Cate said...

Good luck with the move! I can't wait for you to be back, and to read more about Chad!!!

Wow, that will be the mother of all posts when you "come back"

Take your time. We'll wait. How could we not ? We love us some Brillig :)

Hope all continues to go well !

The big question is, how did we survive without YOU! :)

I would have called upstairs and said, "Okay. I'm here! Can someone come help me with these damn kids!"

I've learned to ask for help a lot. I used to tell the helper/bagger at the grocery store, "no thanks," when asked if I wanted help out. Now I say, "Yes! I need all the help I can get!"

It's good to be strong. But being strong sometimes means knowing your limitations. And letting others have the PRIVILEGE of helping someone.

You survived the same way we did, some with liqour, most with maxed out credit cards.
Bloggings a lot cheaper for me.

I am relatively new to the world of blogging but now I am addicted. I have been stopping in to hear the next chapter on "Chad". Good luck with the move. I will keep popping in to check on things...if you don't mind. Take care and hang in there.

Good to see you, Brill!

Hang in there, pal.
